Recently, we asked UWM students what their favorite restaurant is. The results from Twitter were compiled in this list to help you explore Milwaukee with your tastebuds!

Jake’s Deli on North Ave, 1634 W. North Ave., Menu

Jake’s Deli has been a staple in the community for more than 100 years. It used to be a butcher shop, which means that the menu is full of meat! Also, it is the self-proclaimed king of corned beef.

FoxFire Food Truck, Hawthorne Coffee Roasters, 4177 S. Howell Ave., Menu

Milwaukee is known for having amazing food trucks scattered around the city and FoxFire does not disappoint! Primarily located in the Bay View neighborhood, it is the perfect place to take your friends for great food.

Good Land Wing Co., 2911 N. Oakland Ave., Menu

Good Land Wing Co. isn’t your average wing restaurant, instead of frying the chicken, they bake it! That means you are getting a healthier chicken wing. Plus, they have many sauces to choose from like sriracha bourbon, creamy buffalo, double dare inferno and garlic parmesan. It is conveniently located on Oakland and will accept your meal plan for payment.

Ma Fischer’s Restaurant, 2214 N. Farwell Ave, Menu

This is a staple for any UWM student because it is open 24 hours and serves a variety of comfort food. If you are wondering where Ma is, don’t worry because she is right outside the restaurant!

Urban Beets, 1401 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr., Menu

It is mainly a plant-based café in Milwaukee that designs their food to motivate, hydrate and nourish you. If you are looking for a place for juice, smoothies, salads and gluten-free vegan fare then head on over to Urban Beets. The best thing about this café and juicer is that you can use your meal plan!

CrossRoads Collective MKE, 2238 N. Farwell Ave., Vendors

CrossRoads Collective MKE is set up like the Milwaukee Public Market, except it is a food hall that offers local, homemade food options. They strive to be a zero-waste facility that uses compostable utensils and straws. It is a great place to go to when you want a variety of food, such as BBQ and seafood.

Ian’s Pizza MKE, 2035 E. North Ave., Menu

There is a reason that everyone raves about Ian’s Pizza, they offer many unique pizzas such as mac n’ cheese pizza. Plus, if you want a bang-for-you-buck pizza place, this is the place for you! If you need another reason to go there, then being able to use your meal plan should be enough.

FreshFin Poke, 1806 E. North Ave., Menu

FreshFin Poke is another off-campus location where you can use your meal plan. It plays off of Hawaiian cuisine by adding in hand-crafted sauces, fresh toppings and fusing it with unique Asian ingredients.

Celesta, 1978 N. Farwell Ave., Menu

A vegan restaurant that makes in-house, soulful food with bold flavors. They serve lunch, dinner and most importantly brunch. In 2018, it was put on the Thrillist’s Milwaukee’s Best New Restaurant list.

Stone Bowl Grill, 1958 N. Farwell Ave., Menu

They have food inspired by traditional Korean comfort food and made with the highest quality meats and fresh produce. It is the perfect place for a date night or even to take your family out.
