22 Events to attend this Summer to Experience the ‘City of Festivals’

Summers in Milwaukee are packed with event after event. Here is a list of some of our favorite Milwaukee festivals, concerts, and other events to help you have the best summer ever!

JUNE

· June 6–9: Show your ‘pride’ and support at PrideFest. This is the largest LGBTQ festival in the nation with the goal of educating and bringing people together through performances, speakers and other events!

· June 9: Make your way to Locust street for the Locust street festival of Music & Art. Enjoy one of Milwaukee’s neighborhoods through food, music and community!

· June 14–16: Experience another culture through food, music, history and more at Polish Fest

· June 22–23: Head up to Cedarbug, Wisconsin for the 33rd annual Strawberry Fest. Experience live music, art, and of course, homegrown strawberries!

· June 21–23: Lakefront Festival of Art from combines two of our favorite things: Milwaukee artists and a view of the lakefront!

· June 28: Show your #PantherPride at Summerfest this year and get in for free from 12–3 PM! Wear a UWM shirt or hat to the gates and get a free ticket to the world’s largest music festival!

JULY

· July 3: Celebrate our country’s freedom before Independence day by watching our annual Downtown Milwaukee Fireworks!

· July 11–14: Head downtown to Cathedral Square park for Bastille Days, Milwaukee’s French festival and one of the nation’s largest French celebrations!

· July 26–28: Experience Milwaukee’s German heritage at German Fest. Enjoy German food, music and fun!

· July 27: Check out the Brady Street Festival from 11 AM-12 PM which will feature a day full of local Milwaukee bands!

· July 27–28: Milwaukee Air & Water Show celebrates 10 years this summer. Come out and take part in Wisconsin’s largest free event to enjoy performances and the community of Milwaukee!

AUGUST

· July 31 — August 4: Come prepared to laugh until you cry at the annual Milwaukee Comedy Festival featuring comedians like Todd Barry and Beth Stelling!

· August 4: Volunteer through UWM for a little bit at the Wisconsin State Fair on UWM Day and get FREE admission to the fair, parking and a UWM t-shirt!

· August 12–13: One of the top 100 art fairs in the country, the Morning Glory Fine Craft Fair showcases regional and national artists that work in all kinds of different artistic mediums!

· August 15–18: Experience the world’s largest Celtic celebration at Irish Fest full of Celtic music and culture!

· August 31-September 1: End your summer right by checking out the Third Ward Art Festival featuring over 140 different artists!

ALL SUMMER

· May 11 — June 15 & June 22 — October 31: Support local farmers at the Fondy Farmer’s Market. Check out the link to get all the details and to see what days it’s open!

· June 12, July 10, August 14, September 11: Newaukee Night Market takes place once a month. You don’t want to miss this free event in the Third Ward that fuses everything our amazing city has to offer from food to entertainment!

· Tuesdays, June — August: Enjoy some free music at Chill on the Hill! Head over to Humboldt Park for some amazing acoustic music.

· Tuesdays, July 9-August 20: Check out the Skyline Music Series. From 5:30–8:30 PM at Kadish Park take in one of the best views of the city while listening to some great musical artists!

· Wednesdays: We’re not done yet, there’s another night that you can experience some more free music in Milwaukee! River Rhythms takes place from 6:30–9 PM at Pere Marquette Park.

· Thursdays May 30-August 29: We’ve almost got every night of the week covered with free live music in Milwaukee! Thursdays 5–9 PM grab some food from local vendors and enjoy some free music at Jazz in the park at Cathedral Square Park Downtown!
