8 things to do in Milwaukee to help you celebrate #414Day
One of our favorite days of the year is this Sunday! If there’s one thing Milwaukee deserves, it’s a celebration. Here are 8 things that you can do this Milwaukee day to appreciate everything the 414 has to offer!
Coffee Tour with CAB
Milwaukee is full of delicious coffee shops, so if you love coffee this is for you! Head to the Union Concourse at 11 AM to register for free, first-come first-serve for UWM students.
Milwaukee Makers Market
This Sunday the Makers Market is at Discovery World from 10–4 PM. The market showcases crafters, artists, freelance designers, small business owners, and all other makers!
UWM Baseball Game
Show some #PantherPride and make your way to Henry Aaron Field to watch our baseball team take on Youngstown State! Grab some friends, snacks, and your best Panther gear and get there by 12 PM for the first pitch!
Harley-Davidson Museum
A Milwaukee classic, the Harley Davidson Museum features everything you want to know about your favorite motorcycles as well as the history of Harley-Davidson! In celebration of Milwaukee day, admission to the museum is only $4.14 from 10–6 PM!
Milwaukee Art Museum
Another well-known Milwaukee attraction is the Milwaukee Art Museum, home of 30,000 works of art and beautiful lakefront views. General admission for students is $17, but if you’re a Peck School of the Arts student, pick up your MAM sticker (under Department Resources) to get in for free!
Historic Third Ward
Spend your afternoon exploring the Historic Third Ward in Milwaukee’s warehouse district. Filled with local restaurants, galleries, boutiques and more, the Third Ward has wide variety of shops that everyone can enjoy. This is also where the nationally acclaimed Milwaukee Public Market is located!
Black Cat Alley
Visit Black Cat Alley to get your photo taken in front of a unique Milwaukee street art destination. This alley is an award-winning outdoor art gallery (just around the corner from Ian’s Pizza) that is made up of nearly 20 hand-painted murals!
Mitchell Park Domes
Escape the Midwest for a little while and visit the Mitchell Park Domes this 414 Day, a long-time Milwaukee classic. This attraction is made up of three domes: with the show dome, tropical dome, and desert dome. Admission is $5 for students (bring your ID) from 9–4 PM!
