It is officially the first day of FALL! We are so ready for cooler weather, warm sweaters, and all the good food and fun events that come with fall. Here are 10 of our favorite fall things to help you get nice and cozy.

CANDY CORN

We really wish that Candy Corn wasn’t a seasonal candy. One of the highlights of fall is Candy Corn coming back and it being appropriate to eat a whole bag of it. (Pro tip: Mix it with peanuts for the perfect salty and sweet snack!)

HARVEST FAIR

From pumpkin bowling to live music to a farmers market, experience all things ‘fall’ at the Harvest Fair. Get in free at the Wisconsin State Fair Grounds from September 27–29.

PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE

Okay, we know it’s basic, but how can we resist pumpkin spice lattes?? And there is a Starbucks less than a mile from campus to feed your PSL cravings! The Grind on campus also has pumpkin spice as well as a Caramel Apple Latte, so make sure you try that new flavor.

DOORS OPEN MKE

We can’t forget about one of the best events in Milwaukee. At Doors Open MKE on September 28 & 29, you can visit some of the amazing buildings around the city. Milwaukee is full of modern and historic buildings that you don’t want to miss the chance to see!

APPLE ORCHARD

Let’s be real… was it really fall if you didn’t go to an apple orchard? CAB is sponsoring a trip to Apple Holler Orchard on Sept. 28th with free apple-picking and lunch for UWM Students!

FOOTBALL

Fall means football. Every week. The Gasthaus in the basement of the Union is the perfect place on campus to catch the games. If you’re not a big football fan, the Gasthaus has some amazing comfort food to fill you up and keep you warm!

Check out this awesome picture of an old school UWM Football Team. We don’t have a D1 team now but we do have a club team!

OKTOBERFEST

Nothing captures the heart of Milwaukee quite like Oktoberfest. German culture is a huge part of the city - celebrate it and fall with us at Oktoberfest October 4–6!

PUMPKIN CARVING

Go carve pumpkins, see the display of 1,000 lit pumpkins, listen to live music, eat local food, and embrace the fall spirit! The Pumpkin Pavilion is happening October 16–19 at the Humboldt Park Pavilion.

CHANGING LEAVES

One of the best things about fall is watching the leaves change colors. Holy Hill has the perfect view of the fall colors in Wisconsin and makes for the perfect fall hike!

FALL FLAVORED DONUTS

Apple cider donuts. Pumpkin donuts. That’s all.

(Hit up one of the local donut shops, even Metro Market, to get your hands on the best donuts EVER)

There’s just something about fall that makes college so much better. Especially in Milwaukee where there are fall events left and right! To find more events going on this fall on campus, visit this page. Happy fall, Panthers!
