Making the design ecosystem in India even more dynamic
How UX India:India’s biggest int’l UX conference 2017 is ushering a new wave in HCI Design.
Around 1430, Duke of Milan was planning a feast and asked da Vinci to design a kitchen that would efficiently facilitate an event of this scale. Da Vinci designed a conveyor belt to transport food quickly, a sprinkler system in case of fire and a large oven. All worked almost perfectly except the fact that da Vinci failed to understand the needs and typical workflow of the kitchen staff. Kitchen staff was unable to work efficiently with conveyor belts because some were too fast and some too slow, the food in the oven cooked so fast that food got burnt and couple of the other experiences that ruined the feast experience.
Over the years, we have understood how fatal it could be to not understand your users’ needs, not being open to failing and most importantly not learning from our mistakes and iterating, in design. Since the term UX was first coined, UX design has witnessed exponential growth. We now have companies who put fanatical focus(rightly so) on design quality which plays a pivotal role in the success of the products.
In last decade, UX community in India has gained an unprecedented momentum because of huge industrial growth. UX Designers are becoming fundamental part of most organizations. We have been organizing UX India conference every year which ignites, inspires, and delights communities through design-driven social change.
