UX & limited resources


Digital Design is still in its adolescence. When it first started, design for the web lead from 480px width constraints, system fonts and 256 web safe colours, to let designers build websites without tables, web fonts, multiple screens, and touch-points. Designers then learned to use data to inform decisions. What are the challenges professionals face when implementing user-centered design inside an organisation? Is the organisation ready to accept the work and how can professional, step-by-step improve User Centred Design?

As a designer, once the user experience “bug” is caught, the way that we perceive the world, changes. Especially the attention is given to what companies do regarding UX is alerted. T, the path can be trickier. Do the organisation “gets UX”? What are the everyday activities that can be done to make design matter, even if the title is there (or not)?

From understanding the role of the designer nowadays when advocating for User Centred Design, to incorporate research into the process and how data is changing the way design is done. To noting that transferable knowledge is can be used, facing the workplace like a design a challenge, this research is a look at how tools can be learned, can be put into practice but too deep inside a practice, starting to be intrinsic in organisations way of thinking is still a challenge.
