In the run up to the 10th anniversary edition of UX London, we’re taking a look back through the archives with our creator and curator in chief, Mr Andy Budd.

UX London 2012

When I started UX London in 2009, I had a hit list of four speakers I wanted to bring over to the UK. Don Norman, Jared Spool, Alan Cooper and Bill Buxton. Having managed to secure the others those previous years, Bill was the last on my hit list. Despite being a difficult man to pin down, in part due to his senior commitments with Microsoft, 2012 became our year. Bill has been such an influential figure for our industry, it was a privilege to see him speak, and I still use elements from his talk to this day. Other big hitters that year included Janice Fraser, Leah Buley, Luke Wroblewski and Jared Spool, coming back for his second instalment.
