In the run up to the 10th anniversary edition of UX London, we’re taking a look back through the archives with our creator and curator in chief, Mr Andy Budd.

UX London 2013

2013 saw us shift venues from the Cumberland Hotel in Marble Arch — admittedly a slightly more convenient location — to our new home at Trinity Laban. Despite being in Greenwich, which some Londoners see as a different city, we immediately fell in love with the RIBA award winning architecture, the light and airy workshop studios, and the tellytubby-esque outdoor space. Fed up of overpriced hotel catering, we saw this as an opportunity to take event catering up a notch, partnering with the wonderful folks at Kerb to bring the best of UK street food to the attendees of UX London. Content wise, this was one of my favourite years, with a higher proportion of UK based speakers, along with wonderful keynotes from the likes of Marty Neumeier, Jeff Gothelf and Genevieve Bell.
