If you read my last story you know how excited I was about sending the first newsletter update after years and how I immediately got slapped in the face back into the real world after being blocked because too many people complained about receiving it.

Well, that happened again. I guess karma has to do with it since I’m fairly happy to mark as spam any shitty or not requested newsletter I receive daily, so yeah fair enough karma!

Anyway, since I’ll probably give up on the newsletter thing for a bit, here’s the latest update in a more public format!

Hey g̶u̶y̶s̶ folks,

Welcome back. It’s time for our first lovely update!

But let me say something before getting into that.
The reason why you are reading this is probably because you care.
We also care.
About you.
About your business.
About the way you work.
About the work you produce and the impact it can have.

That’s why we have been adding some ❤️️ to the UX Project Checklist!

Since I first released the UX Project Checklist things have changed.
Digital products, startups, designers, us, all have played a part in this change. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse.

Ethics, sustainability and equality have become a major topic in recent debates (about time!).

After bad examples of some (big) tech companies, we are here to set some good examples.

It’s clear now that design has a possibility and therefore the responsibility to be more ethical, inclusive and sustainable.

Have you thought about your role in it?
Well, now will be easier to remind yourself about that!

With our new ❤️️ section we want to support you to act more considerate and to really make this world a better place.

yes, you can make better products

Go check the new ❤️ section

We hope you ❤️ it!

Cheers,
Andrea

PS

We’ve had a hard time finding some appealing articles that best fit those topics. So, if you have saved an article that elaborates on these points, now is the time to share it. Leave it in the comments!
