A spectre is haunting the world. Generation Y, also known as Millennials — born between 1980 and 2000 — is taking over! They are in a position to run the actual enterprises replacing “boring” accountant style workers from previous generations. The threat is: technology has shaped a new demographic creating a “Digital Working Class” that interacts with different devices accessing information everywhere and in many ways. For this new proletariat, computing became its natural extension and The Global Village its habitat. How can enterprises deny to this emerged class the offering of a better reality? The force behind the UX revolution is, above all, social, and this aspect should move corporations towards humanised applications. This Manifesto is a call for a “socialist design utopia”, when, for the workers of the world, a great user experience will be permitted!
