The Woods

A poem

I found you.
In the woods.
A secret place,
Of love, desire, longing.
Soft yellow daisies
Speckle the green carpet
Underfoot.
Light; dappled, soft,
Plays on our skin
As we lay
Entwined
In each other’s thoughts.
Connected,
Through touch not yet felt.
Together,
Separately.
Time is a cure for that.
