A small Recap, but still big in size
This month’s edition of the ‘Vagabond Recap’ will be relatively short but nevertheless a key insight into the recent workings over at Vagabond HQ. In continuation from last month’s recap, we’ll go through key topics that are pertinent to our community and conclude with our revised communication strategy.
1. VagaWallet + VagaSwap Developments
The next VagaWallet update, v1.0.5, is under continuous development, with a strong focus on security and ensuring a stable account access experience. As much as our community has requested this update, it will not be rushed and will be released as soon as the Vagabond team deems it ready for production. This significant update, while light on new features, involves major changes to the background processes, all in preparation for the required VagaSwap (DEX) integration. It ensures the inclusion of all participants while prioritizing security and ease of use.
VagaSwap’s development is expected to resume in mid/late November, aligning with the allocation of further resources to crypto community-centric applications, as previously communicated in the Vagabond Recap≪ October Edition.
2. VAGA Foundation Logo Competition
The final submission deadline of October 15, 2023, has passed, and we’ve received a diverse and intriguing portfolio of unique logo designs for the foundation.

We would like to congratulate all participants of their artistical work and dedication in helping shape the future of the foundations public image. In regards to the competition and selection of the final winner, we would like to include the VagaWallet as the primary tool for the voting process, and this requires the release of the next wallet update. As such, the community should expect the voting process to commence sometime shortly after this update is released. Vagabond will announce the voting procedure and guidelines on all our social channels as soon as it can be made possible. Stay tuned!
3. Communication Strategy, reimagined.
Starting from 2024 and beyond, we want to ensure a more realistic and flexible approach to our communication strategy. After long reflection, the Vagabond team has decided that we will no longer provide defined timelines or ETAs for any Vagabond application, product, or update. Instead, we will roll out developments when they are thoroughly ready, more often than not in an unexpected manner. This approach may involve minor updates or teasers just prior to release or when we’re very close to a definite launch.
The Vagabond team has learned that timelines and roadmaps, while well-intentioned, can sometimes lead to over-expectations and create a sense of rush. In an environment as dynamic and ever-changing as the blockchain space, adhering to strict timelines can be more detrimental than beneficial. It can distract the team from focusing on the product’s quality, security, and proper testing, and shift the focus to meeting a specific date.
Our commitment will also have more emphasis on transparently communicating what we’re working towards, our market focus, and long-term goals. Our goal is to provide a clear picture of our vision, rather than setting short-term expectations. The monthly recaps is a sign of this change currently in motion. With that said, going forward, the release of the products and services will most definitely speak for themselves and create a clear reflection of our vision and conceived objectives. We thank our community for their understanding.
