The first time I form-changed

So, there I was sunbaking, minding my business in my backyard, and my body just upped and disintegrated on me. Quick as you like, one minute, I'm lying there, an all-right looking, all-limbs-in-tack kind of a girl, then bam! Next moment, I’m quite literally dirt. Earth, soil, whatever you want to call it; made up of stuff still decomposing, disintegrating, and getting regurgitated.

If this is the kind of thing that’s likely to happen to you at some time, don’t worry

It's actually not as gross or terrifying as it sounds. The thing with any kind of form change like this is, when you change, you no longer have the finer feelings and sentiments of your human body. So you’re not actually terrified, sickened, or frightened like you would be if you were human. You just don't have the human ego, brain, or nervous system you need to have these kinds of reactions or thoughts, let alone sustain them.

I can't really describe the kinds of ‘thoughts’ you do have, but in elemental form, your awareness is different. For instance, there’s a worm over there, spitting out bits of me right now; it's not really something…
