I see the slow slide of your sand,
Crumbling into the ocean
That eagerly awaits.

It’s wet fists grabbing your mound,
And yanking you into its eager mouth.

The form of you is eroding,
Your history,
Your purpose,
Sifted and sinking into the sea,
