That Coney Island Ride

More than a memory

Remember when they put us on that ride?

I cried behind you then; I don’t know why

I looked down at them; I saw their eyes

They were happy

So happy

It made me sad

I guess I saw that this would never last

I’d hate it when the days would go so fast

They were happy

So happy

There was something there

Something I learned about this whole wide world

It’s a sad place to be, but we’d stay here

Because they were happy

Oh so happy

To see us there
