The beauty of color

We travel the world to discover. Discover the natural beauty, awaken our taste buds, feel the adrenaline of the unknown. We discover the world to see in color.

There is no longer the option of “I don't see color”. We want to see color because it is those skin tones that have a story. My olive skin displays my Mediterranean heritage, my Greek ancestors, the history of my grandmother’s mother that left Ireland in hopes of living a better life. There is no threat towards my existence and that is a privilege.

I want to see the colors and understand the glory and the pain. We need to see the colors and understand we all played a role by playing it safe.

The time is now to embrace our brothers and sisters that are part of the same human race. What is the point of discovering the world if all its people are not free and safe?

It is time that we show our true colors and the responsibility we have in being anti-racist. I have seen the world and what makes it beautiful is the people of all shades. We need to shine a light on the darkness of the days and stand up for all people and be active against the hate.
