Who were you
first? Before
the shimmering thoughts,
rippling words, the invisible
language that
leaps from your lips, amphibious,
evolving, splattering,
from the waters
for which your body
yearns.
Who are you still?
Now, as you push
your hands into the earth
pulling up tubers, or heave your
breathless mass up this slope
prickling with dry
blades of grass,
itching with the salted
waters that still flow
from underneath
your skin.
You
are a body.

This is your Vagabond Writing Prompt for the month — should you choose to accept it.

Bring us a story, poem, collage, doodle…
on this theme — loosely.
Or literally.

As so often happens, what’s good for you is also good for your writing.

So go out there, experience a physical moment, movement. Write about it and capture all the details.

Would you like to join me for a writing workshop on this theme (April 4th)?

I hold small, cozy, and relaxing writing sessions on different themes focused on writing for well-being and self-expression. They are fun ways to step away from the idea of ‘finishing something’ and just enjoy.
