Q: What inspired you to join the Validation Cloud team and how do you see your role contributing to the mission of the company?
A: I enjoy working with Web3 and I’m excited to see it develop as a technology. Validation Cloud is still small, but it’s already doing a lot of things right to be a strong contender in the space. It’s a great opportunity for me to be part of the team that’ll push our platform to its potential.
Q: What is your role at Validation Cloud, and could you share some details about your previous experience and background?
A: I’m currently a DevOps Engineer at Validation Cloud. I used to work across the entire technical stack in Full Stack roles, but have since gravitated towards DevOps since I enjoy working with infrastructure deployment and monitoring more. Before Validation Cloud I worked at Figment, helping to manage their blockchain node infrastructure.
Q: What are your thoughts on the potential impact of Web3 technology, and how do you think Validation Cloud can help organizations tap into its potential?
A: I think Web3 has a lot of potential use cases, and the speed at which the technology is progressing globally is a testament to that. And as interest in it grows, people will look to companies like us to help provide the clearest and most user-friendly gateway to access it.
Q: What do you think sets Validation Cloud apart from other Web3 infrastructure companies?
A: In short, we’re consistently building our infrastructure on modern technology with scalability in mind. This gives us a lot of flexibility in what we can offer, how quickly we can offer it, and how reliable and predictable it performs.
Q: Which team values resonate with you the most, and why?
A: Solutions Orientation — In order to build the best product, it’s important to always be on the lookout for improvements and refinements. This requires a culture that’s always open to criticism and change. This mindset is what makes our engineering team great.
Q: How do you plan on collaborating with other team members to deliver highly performant and customizable products in staking, node, and data-as-a-service?
A: It’s important to share knowledge and brainstorm as much as possible, to take advantage of everyone’s strengths and work out the best solutions. This also means being consistently available for discussions and feedback.
Q: What do you like to do outside of work? Any hobbies or interests outside of Web3?
A: Outside of work, I enjoy tinkering with home automation and interior design using CAD software. I also enjoy going to the gym and the occasional jog, especially in the summer. When I have time, I like practicing my acoustic guitar, specifically finger-style renditions. I’m also currently learning Spanish.
