It’s been a long trip for me and iPhone and here’s what I’ve noticed.

How Apple company is forcing us to buy new iPhone

Even if you love the old iPhone version more than the new one (that’s exactly what happened with me and the 4S, which was absolutely perfect and IMHO The Best iPhone version in history) and keep it, — you’ll be forced to buy the new version within 2 years maximum. Here’s how they do it.

First, that will break in your iPhone even if you use it extra carefully is your battery capacity. It will gradually decrease by the end of the 1 year of usage (that’s exactly the time period for a new iPhone to come out, right?). Last time, it reached my nerves peak when it got to 3 hours in a standby mode.

2 options here:

  1. replace the battery (well, at least we can do that in my country) with a new one to keep the phone for another year;
  2. buy a new iPhone.

I chose the 1st option. What happened next? You all know that once the new iPhone comes out, a new iOS comes out right with it. Not to mention that iOS updates come out several times a year forcing you to update it to the latest version with intrusive notifications. But new iOS versions take more space on your phone HD and require more RAM in order to operate fast. That’s why your iPhone works slower and slower after each new update.

2 options here:

  1. ignore iOS updates and keep the version that came out with the iPhone version you love (which was specifically designed for it and fits all iPhone resources perfectly);
  2. buy a new iPhone.

Even if you choose the 1st option you’ll have not more than a year before you will start losing all your favorite applications you can’t imagine your life without. Why? Because they follow the Apple rules and they do update and modify the app whenever the new iOS version or update comes out. How many app versions can 1 company support in order to keep it profitable? Depends on the company, of course, but the approximate answer will be 3 to 10. So, in 2 years from the time your favorite iPhone version came out most of your favorite apps versions will no longer be supported.

Eventually, you’ll have to by the new iPhone.
