Let’s take a look, since the beginning of our journey to its destination, the development of a pioneering product on the internet which offers users discounts on each of their online purchases and monetary compensation for their time and attention.
Q2 2015
Valsto Idea Born
Based on the implementation of a discount card, made in the ’90s, we study and document the practicality of executing this project with current technologies, with the premise that affiliated members can obtain discounts on each of their purchases and pay users for their time and attention by viewing advertisements from affiliated merchants.
Q1 2016
Creation of the functional prototype
During this time, we were focused on the programming of a functioning prototype. This prototype was an instrument that allowed visualizing the interaction and execution of transactions between the different entities within the Valsto site and external components such as e-commerce sites and mobile applications. In addition, this prototype helps us explain to the Valsto development team the functionality expected in the MVP.
Q2 2016
The developer team begins to create the product.
From this date, the team has begun to program the modules and APIs that make up the product using SCRUM and TDD methodology.
Q1 2017
Integration of credit card and bank transactions.
Together with the creation of plugins for the payment process with the most popular online shopping cart platforms, we integrate the Valsto transaction progress with payment gateways, applying the discount granted by the merchants subscribed to our platform.
Q2 2017
The Android application is finalized.
The first release of the Android App that permits users to validate and confirm transactions in a secure manner.
Q3 2017
We finalize the Publicity Service section (Advertising).
Now merchants can create their own advertising on the Valsto site, choosing the number of members and characteristics of the users they wish to reach. Internally, we implemented the Artificial Intelligence system and the initial training of neural networks. With this tool serving as the heart of the advertising program, we began to display advertisements oriented to the interests of our users.
In the mobile App, we added the possibility for users to receive alerts and accept payments for seeing advertisements of affiliated merchants from their mobile phones.
Q1-Q2 2018
Launch of MVP in its beta version.
After 2 years of its initial conception, we finished the Beta version of the product. A limited number of users and businesses were invited to try our platform to collect ideas and improvements that will be implemented over time.
Q3 2018
Prototype preparation of the Valsto token using ERC20.
Because the model implemented by the token ERC20 fully conforms with the Valsto business model, we made this decision to carry out the distribution campaign of tokens to increase our network of users and to obtain necessary funds to be able to execute the project quickly.
Q4 2018
The Token distribution event begins (TDE).
With the idea of obtaining funds to integrate Valsto with cryptocurrency transactions, we have launched this donation campaign to raise funds and extend Valsto’s services to the buyers’ community with digital cryptocurrencies.
Q1 2019
Integration and deployment of payments with cryptocurrencies.
We will implement a digital wallet gateway that will allow users to make payments using the most popular digital currencies such as ETH, BTC, LTC, DASH, and lower transaction costs.
From Q1 2019
Product will be released to the United States market.
As our company Valsto is registered in the United States, the first natural destination is the competitive American market. The acquired experience will help us to expand to other places such as Europe, Asia and Latin America.
After the token distribution event, our team will prepare a detailed roadmap for the development stage and roll out stage. We currently have a transactional platform ready to be tested were buyers and merchants can send and receive payments for online purchases, issue payment refunds, send and receive money, create advertising campaigns, receive payments for watching the ads, review transaction details, account overview, monthly statements, validate mobile app integration, browser plugin integration IPN integration and basically all the features that users will use with the MVP. The platform currently supports all kinds of fiat transactions while crypto transactions will be included post token distribution 11 event as per our roadmap.
