Unspoken words for 2019

Humility above all should be your motto 2019. You never know where God is taking you this year, if there is something I have personally learned about humility it brings honor, favor and acceptance before God and men. Humility gives you a room to learn, improve and be better and creates an atmosphere of favor around you.

So it’s a norm that we almost always post highlights of our past year, share our journey with our friends, communities and audiences which is good but sometimes we do it out of the feeling of relevance because it’s that time of the year when everyone is sharing their best life, when we see holiday photos of happy families, when we hear many successful stories, many actions of kindness and we feel compelled to do the same.

Well, I’m not saying everyone does this out of relevance but there are those who do and it doesn’t necessary need to be that way, it can be a way of you showing appreciations to everyone who has been a part of your journey for one way or another, a way for you to share lessons that might help others and also a way to celebrate life with others.

2018 memories

Well, do we then have to share our new year’s plans? As it was for the past year’s highlight it’s not but look it from this point of view, sometimes we need people to hold us accountable , sometimes we sit on our blessings simply because we have no one we are answering to, at least this is what motivated me to share my 2019 plan.

It doesn’t have to be too private, but it has to be personal, something that speaks to you, your journey, your life and your future. But all the panning in the world, all the sharing in the world won’t make things happen, even if our families, audiences and friends hold knives over us.

Let me share what I have learned to make plans work.

- Re-visit your life, have a genuine review of it. Point out the success, the challenges, the shortcomings, the failure, the unmet goals, the dead dreams, the unfulfilled dreams and identify why they are in that category, then just stop. Don’t judge yourself; don’t be too hard on yourself especially on those negative things.

- Set three yearly goals in each area of your life, spiritual, professional, financial, relationships, personal development etc. Set realistic goals, checking the time you have, you can as well take the unfulfilled 2018 plans if they are still relevant and work on them this year.

- Commit yourself. Be completely and fully committed to being responsible throughout this year, in all areas of your life, in working on your plans, in learning more to improve every day and under no circumstance should you back down, stay on course no matter what.

2018 moments

- Be consistent. Everything improves, grows, gets appreciated when there is consistence, just like doing exercises you can’t build a muscle on one day, you need consistence, this builds a habit, which in turn becomes who you are. So in any area you a committed to improve, do the steps to improve consistently without stopping or slowing down.

- Invest in yourself. Read more, learn more to improve your life, we are never too informed, we never know everything. Take time to read, relax, get to know yourself a little bit more, look at your personal life closely and increase where there is a decrease.

- Be kind and thankful. Being a giver, being kind, being thankful goes along way , goes beyond those to whom that action is done, it creates in you a sense of humility, peace and accomplishment that you can never get anywhere, also the principle of giving is the same throughout life, give and you shall receive. Whatever you plant into others, you will harvest in folds.

I believe this year has great things in store, as for me, I have three goals this year in every area of my life I want to Grow, have Balance and Experience an Adventurous Life.

Let’s do this thing called life together, I got your back, if you are looking for someone to share your plans with, to just chat with or just say hi to, check me out on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook @vanessazbliss.

Happy New Year.
