Explore Bangkok’s great ancient communities and immerse in the ancient Chinese Moon Festival and help spread the word on conserving our pioneering neighborhoods.

Join our fundraising urban walking tour to one of Bangkok’s oldest neighborhoods and the country’s last remaining community that produces traditional, religious and decorative Chinese paperwork. Like many other communities this one too is under threat of being replaced by unchecked commercial development. This community is exemplary on how our cultural heritage is being replaced by yet more malls and condos. We’re supporting Pee Lek and her team in their struggle and aim to raise funds to help maintain their little museum that tells the story of their community. TRIP EXCLUDES:
meals, transfers, insurance, personal expenses
WHAT TO BRING:
Comfortable clothes to wear. Umbrella or rain coat just in case
NOTE:
People who are working can head to the ceremony by themselves which takes place at Charoen Krung Road Soi 23. You can join us and catch up over a few drinks in one of those cool offbeat bars in the area.
TIPS:
You can buy one of their Charoen Chai t-shirts. The money goes into supporting their cause and it makes a great and unique souvenir.
