With so many places to visit during Loy Krathong day it’s always hard to make a decision where to spend Thailand’s most romantic celebration. if you you’re tired of ending up at the Chao Phraya again then bangkokvanguards got the solution for you. We’ve been invited by the local government in Samut Songkhram and we’re setting up another awesome Loy Krathong weekend trip to our Base Camp in November 2014 date to be announced on our FB Page.
As we ourselves are locals we will get our friends and relatives involved to teach us to create our own Kratongs, getting instructions in Thai dance, joining a massive Koy Krathong parade and sharing a parade truck with locals on our way to a beautiful riverside temple. As part of our philosophy we want to bring together like-minded people from different cultures. People who appreciate the arts and culture of Thailand, love offbeat travel, great music, delicious food and the company of great people, be it on a converted private barge, by the canal or in a art clay house bar in the midst of vast coconut groves, we fuse these elements into an awesome symbiosis and ensure you will have an unforgettable time.

As for swim wear please do not bring a bikini as it’s culturally inappropriate instead go for shorts and t-shirt. Special shirts for Loy Krathong can be bought (approx.150THB for a shirt).
