We believe that every day is Children’s Day and not only on one specific day. As such bangkokvanguards is taking you on an overnight trip to secluded temple communities to give back to the people we work with. The outreach weekends are all about kids, fun, creativity, a positive message and to celebrate local culture and Thailand’s amazing communities. Vanguards Outreach trips organized for our community are non-profit trips in which we don’t charge any service or organization fee.
Our outreach programs are on one side volunteer events and on the other side designed to experience Thailand’s beautiful and off the beaten track destinations to generate income for the local economy. Besides an awesome time with the community and the children we aim to bring together likeminded people of different cultures and immerse in an authentic and stunning environment with great people.

Saturday, February 22nd, 2014, 7:45a.m., BTS Station Wong Wian Yai Exit 1
NOTE:
If you’re late please come straight to the Wong Wian Yai train station (NOT BTS Station!) See map below: Train leaves at 8:35a.m. sharp!
END TIME:
Sunday, February 2014 date tentative. Participants can decide individually when they would like to go back to Bangkok.

1,300THB / person (private accommodation + 250THB for double room shared + 400 to 800THB for single room)
Please note that this is the Vanguards Volunteer price to cover our expenses.
- Train Ride and trip to the famous train market in Maeklong
- Boat ride from Maeklong to the Children’s Day event
- Children’s Day event and activities

REMARKS:
There is no fixed program on Sunday and people can just relax. We can arrange transfers and trips. Expenses have to be shared accordingly. People can feel free to leave.
WHAT TO BRING:
Sunblock,wear funky and fun clothes from Micky Mouse, Pokemon/ Doremon shirts to wigs, sun glasses and toy guns. For those who want to jump into the canal swim wear (t-shirt and shorts) but no bikinis. Drinks (wine, etc.) that can’t be bought at Seven Eleven.
TIPS:
Don’t try to open a coconut by yourself if you had alcohol before!
