Announcing new viewing options for AI-driven analytics results on Vanna.AI (May 2023)

For release on May 27, 2023. Today, we released new functionality on question & answer detail page in Vanna.AI. Now, you choose different formats to view the AI driven analytics results to your questions. Choose between tabs (default), cards, and the page view.

To follow along, go to ask.vanna.ai, sign in, and select “Sales Demo” as the dataset. We’ll use the following question —

Calculate the max order amount for the top 10 nations

When you ask this question and get the results, you’ll see three view options at the top right —

1. Tabs (default) — This clean view optimizes for focus on one particular item at a time.
2. Cards — This information packed view optimizes for speed of digesting all the results
3. Page — This view optimizes for storytelling, with the logical sequence of results presented in order.

Let’s take a closer look at each.

Tabs view

In this view, the results show up in tabs that you can navigate between. In my opinion, this is the cleanest view as it shows only one part of the results at a time. It was also the favored view in our initial user testing.

Cards view

In this view, you can see all the results cards at once. It’s a great way to absorb a bunch of information quickly.

Page view

In this view, the results are stacked to tell a story. You can easily browse through the progression of the results. This view is the default view for sharing with others.

And, we just added functionality that remembers what your latest selection was so you don’t have to keep changing to your preference.
