Have you not already done you holiday shopping?

For shame! It’s our duty to support global economic growth, while also enhancing the art of photographers and filmmakers with the latest and best gear. Don’t worry, though: There is still time to make your purchases, and PPD can help.

For the past couple of weeks, we have collecting gift-giving guides being published by the various photo and motion websites we follow. You’ll find great merchandise, no matter what your budget. All PPD wants for Christmas is a pair of Leica cufflinks shaped like shutter-speed dials.

Without further ado …

SLR Lounge

SLR Lounge has a gift guide featuring photographic items from $500 and up that “you’ll be loved for giving or love to receive.” At least it’s stuff that writer Kishore Sawh would love, including the Sigma 50mm ART f/1.4 lens ($949) and the Elinchron Rotalux 69-inch softbox ($423). Hey, that’s under $500. Go here for gifts under $100.

DP Review

In DP Review’s holiday gift guide, you can search according to your shopping budget, from $25 to $100; from $100 to $500; and from $500 and up. There’s the the Stealth Gear Extreme Photographer’s Jacket ($200); Nikon’s COOLPIX L840 ($250); and the Lomography Petzval 85mm f/2.2 brass lens ($599). (Go here for DP Reviews’s camera and lens buying guides.)

PDN/Rangefinder

The knowledgeable people at PDN and Rangefinder have put together their very first annual gift guide in collaboration with DP Review. “It’s the perfect companion for this holiday season, and it’s available for free online,” note the editors. Among their highlighted choices: Kúla 3D lenses, including the Kúla Bebe ($79) and Kúla Deeper ($179).

Digital Trends

The gift guide from Digital Trends isn’t strictly about photo and filmmaking gear, but creative people need all sorts of things to keep their imaginations fired. Looking for an easy way to beam videos from your computer to your TV? Look no further than Google’s second-generation Chromecast ($35).

Videomaker

Videomaker’s gift guide is in fact a list of what it considers the best filmmaking gear of 2015, which, it notes, has been an exceptional year for gear. “To be considered for these annual awards, the Videomaker editors must have had a chance to have some hands-on time with a product,” it notes. The best action cam of the year? The Sony FDR X1000V ($499).

Huffington Post

Photographer Michael Ernest Sweet offers his own gift guide featuring the Lomo’Instant Wide Camera ($239) and Moleskine Photo Books ($60) to a subscription to Black & White magazine.
