When the new iPhone 6s and 6s+ came out we did a decent first test - but we wanted to get more into real shooting with the new devices and went to Rotterdam for a second round.
While in Rotterdam and running from location to location we shot some video in-between, excited by the unique beauty of this city. Modern architecture pared with an old soul - it should be on everyone’s list when coming to the Netherlands or Europe - even before Amsterdam!
Rotterdam: ˈrɒtərdæm or rɒtərˈdæm
Rotterdam’s uniqueness is every picture-hunter’s dream.
- The Port of Rotterdam is the second largest in the world with respect to size and tonnage. It is also one of the busiest ports in the world.
- Rotterdam’s city center (the heart of the city) was completely destroyed during the World War II bombing.
- The city was rebuilt after the bombing giving it a modern, young and a trendy look. Rotterdam therefore does not look like a typical Dutch town, and the city houses a number of skyscrapers.
- Rotterdam is also known as the “City of Architecture”. It has the highest number of architectural firms in the Netherlands.
- With a large number of public parks and gardens, Rotterdam is the greenest city in the Netherlands.
