Libidinous? A turn on? Risque?

Bill Clark from Roll Call just posted this photo on Instagram. (Here’s the full article.) On August 3rd, during an Alabama Senate candidate forum, GOP candidate Roy Moore pulled out his wife’s hand gun exclaiming “we carry” to demonstrate his support for the second amendment.

Maybe Freud is truly dead, but the link between power and sex (or power AS sex) is right grippingly, gropingly there. The gun lobby frames gun ownership, and especially, carrying rights in terms of independence and freedom from fear. But let’s be honest, these objects — so mighty and steely in hand — are as much about potency.

Whipping the gun out of his wife’s bag in front of a public audience, the Governor is flashing.
