VANTA Network Meetup in Seoul
In January 2019, the VANTA Network team hosted our very first meetup in Seoul, South Korea.
On a Friday evening on January 18, 2019, more than one hundred of our VIP guests attended the first VANTA Network Meetup to take the first steps of our journey together.
Ryan Seo, CEO and Founder of VANTA Network, started off the event by expressing his gratitude to everyone who has been supporting the project. Ryan also briefly spoke about our business plans and the progress he and the VANTA Network team have been building.
The speech was followed by VANTA Network Technical Lead, Adrian Park. Adrian explained VANTA Network’s technology in easier terms.
Special Guest Speakers
VANTA Network was honored to have had guest speakers from Allbit and Coinfinit, popular cryptocurrency exchanges in South Korea as well as a speaker from global computer technology corporation, Oracle.
The first special guest who spoke at the meetup was Jinho Kim, the Director of the WW ISV/OEM Business Unit at Oracle Korea.
Jinho Kim spoke about his excitement to be involved with a blockchain project like VANTA Network.
Eeksoon Lee, the CEO of Allbit Exchange, the first decentralized exchange created in South Korea, was the second guest speaker. Allbit is VANTA Network’s first official exchange partner where VNT tokens are currently listed in its APOT market.
Eeksoon Lee expressed his respect for the VANTA Network project and its team members, then spoke about the Project5 Competition, a collaboration event by Allbit Exchange and Upbit Exchange. Top 3 projects from the competition will receive Allbit BTC, ETH market listing as well as UPbit KRW market review and recommendation.
On January 30, 2019, Allbit Exchange announced that VANTA Network was chosen as one of the top 5 projects that will compete in the Project5 competition. Details on the progress of the event can be found here.
Last but not least, the Coinfinit Exchange CIO Steven Lee gave a speech regarding the partnership between VANTA Network and Coinfinit. As previously announced, Coinfinit Exchange is one of VANTA Network’s exchange partners.
During his speech, Steven Lee mentioned Coinfinit’s high expectations of VANTA Network’s success through blockchain development as well as through the partnership with Coinfinit.
Coinfinit Exchange opened their KRW market on January 17, 2019. Coinfinit received attention from the global cryptocurrency industry for receiving over 300,000 pre-registration applications within only 21 days prior to the official launch.
