Here’s the recap of the text AMA on 1st Jun — 6 AM (UTC)

Question 1. — Would you like to do a small introduction about yourself?

🐍Salazar: I basically started out as a polygon defi enjoyoor then got the adrenaline hit and inquisitive hit to know more on Polygon tech etc, then it got me started on Ethereum. Then, I feel in love with its tech and community and there’s Defi too. Curiosity got me basically, it’s been an awesome all through.

Question 2. — What’s the reason behind your decision of joining vaultka? From your perspective, what’s the uniqueness of vaultka?

🐍Salazar: The leverage strategies for VLP got me tbh. Vela is a huge ecosystem with a huge community too, so Vaultka positioning themselves in that aspect is what’s it. Even with others like GMX (GLP) and GNS (gDAI). Basically, positioning with a mixture of protocols that are well positioned.

For Uniqueness, the strategies it offers- A platform for most perp dex LPs and Market Neutral and Leverage and low fees too.

Question 3. — What do you think are the key advantages of decentralized perpetual exchanges compared to traditional exchanges?

🐍Salazar: First off perps are resistant to manipulation we all know Binance for example can decide to close trade pairs to a particular global zone without warning, just to wake up to an announcement.

Transparency too, all trades are visible to users transparent and visible to users of the perp, making it fairer and most perps offer lower fees than centralized exchanges.

Like it’s called “decentralized” we all know of the ftx scenario and users not being to access their funds, this hardly happens in a perp.

On the decentralization scope too, no control from higher ops. Most CEXs have a central server which can be hacked and affect the network unlike a decentralized perp.

Question 4. — What role do you see decentralized perpetual exchanges playing in the broader DeFi ecosystem, and how do you see this ecosystem evolving in the next few years?

🐍Salazar: First off after the fall of ftx, the perps that existed saw more vol. users could see that cexes isn’t the fall in the long run and traders saw perps are forthcoming.

As more traditional traders who have less or no exposure to Defi move to perps, it gives them an opportunity to explore defi eco and I presume in a few years from now we’ll see big hedge funds moving to perps to trade; giving them exposure to defi and inturn elevating Defi eco.

Basically traders have to see for what it’s what, that perps is the future.

Question 5. — From your perspective, what do you think are the biggest challenges facing decentralized perpetual exchanges, and how can they be addressed?

🐍Salazar: Bad oracles, we’ve seen how much has been lost in Defi from Oracle problems Also, low liquidity issues, also a seamless UI/UX.

I think these are the 3 most important if I’m not mistaken How to implement a better way

  1. Good oracle (for safety)
  2. With Lps and everything this shouldn’t be an issue for Vaultka
  3. Pay attention to good UI/UX, the easier the better, make it easier ( this is the most important to traders and Defi enjoyoors)

Question 6. — How do you see the competition among decentralized perpetual exchanges evolving, and what role do you see Vaultka playing in the decentralized perpetual exchanges market?

🐍Salazar: It’s a tough question but rather easier. The best will win or I’ll say it’s a healthy competition so no winner — the bests will stay on top.

All 3 issues I mentioned above that perps are having; Vaultka has to make best of them. Also being different from the rest puts Vaultka forward. Ik of an upcoming perp that offers no liquidation risk

Question 7. — How do you see the regulatory environment for decentralized perpetual exchanges evolving, and what impact do you think this will have on the industry?

🐍Salazar: I don’t know about USA cos the regulations is so much there. But for other countries maybe excluding Canada also having a tough regulation.

But facts remain facts and this is what it is Cexes have much regulatory issues due to kyc etc… On the other hand, dexes have less regulatory issues because they can be thought of as a protocol consisting of codes rather than legal entities. So dexes have less or no regulatory issues thanks to know kyc for users

Question 8. — What do you think are the biggest trends in the cryptocurrency industry right now, and where do you see the industry headed in the next few years?

🐍Salazar: Innovation is where the trend goes.

ZK is a good innovation, AI is a good innovation.

Defi will have to inboard these two into them and innovate too. Defi will be here till what’s next. Cryptocurrencies will have to exclude themselves from regulatory heads and become a unit of their own unaffected by the boarder financial market. In a few year, ETH will be integral. Cryptocurrency will head to more innovations around trusted ETH
