Building Business is in my Blood -In response to Gary Vaynerchuk

This blog entry serves as my personal response to Gary Vaynerchuk’s question of “What is your passion?” in his blog post:

Business is MY Vehicle : You have to do it for yourself and find your vehicle, then you can make everybody else happy. You know why I like making people happy? Because I’m already happy, and so I implore you to take this little rant and really look at your life and understand whether or not you’re doing the things that put you in a position to succeed — not just in business but in life. Because it’s super important, and boy, when you are happy in life, your fucking business can roll.

Entrepreneurship is in my blood, My Grand Parents built a future for our family spanning 2 generations in the restaurant industry after migrating to Australia. It was only natural that after uni that I started my own business and built that for 15 years. I was your typical computer nerd and loved playing games so I opted to use that as a launchpad to start my own IT related company. I’ve not had or needed a resume since the one they taught me how to make in the 10th grade whilst in high school. I’ve somehow become the person my family and friends come to when they need business advice, so it makes sense for me to leverage social media and broaden my reach in order to share my own experiences and passion for business building.

My current passion and purpose to build a community which encourages and helps people break free from the status quo through entrepreneurship started a long time ago even before I was ready to start. Thinking back, the catalyst for me was what i learnt from reading the book about the TOMS story called “Start Something That Matters” by its founder Blake Mycoskie.

Are you living a life worth living or are you just existing in this world?

Whether you need to make that change for yourself, your family, your local community or perhaps even the world, I truly believe that you can impact greater change through entrepreneurship. The Steve Jobs, the Oprahs, the Bill Gates, the Elon Musks, the Jeff Bezos, the Gary Vaynerchuks are proof of this. If they can do it… you can too… Yes it is true when they say:

Everyone can be an entrepreneur but that doesnt mean everybody has to be one.

But ultimately, you need to find what you love as its the only way to do great work. Through your passion you can always do good for yourself and for others . If you choose the path of entrepreneurship know that it is tough arena, if you dont have passion, you’ll give up. As Steve Jobs said:

“If you havent found it yet, keep looking. Don’t Settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.”

If you’ve found your passion, I invite you to share it with me. If you havent found it yet feel free to connect with me via DM or find myself and others by requesting access to the Vaynernation Facebook Group

Thanks for reading! I’m still new at putting my thoughts down into words beyond a comment on social media. So I apologise if this post seems a bit disjointed when reading it, I’m litteraly just typing as I would speak.

If you enjoyed this article It would mean a lot to me if you could share your thoughts in a comment or give me some claps 👏🏻. It helps other people to find out about our group so we can have a greater impact on the world. 💪🏼❤️
