Many of the next potentially great founders are currently transitioning from top tech jobs, working on startup ideas during their off hours or in stealth mode. These are exactly the kind of founders VCs want to connect with early on.

Meeting “before the pitch”

But many of these founders are not from the startup world and don’t have deep links within the VC community. They are experts in their fields but have questions and misconceptions about the VC world, and want a low stakes setting to start learning about this world and making relevant contacts.

By proactively offering to meet these founders “before the pitch” in an intimate, off the record environment, VCs can get to know more potentially great founders in a meaningful way. And better expectation setting between these two groups can lead to less frustration and time wasted down the line for both sides.

Coffee with VCs

That’s why I’m happy to announce VC POV’s first ever “Coffee with VCs” event, where we will be bringing together an exclusive group of 10 Founders/Founder-to-be to meet Tal Morgenstern, Partner at Sequoia Capital, Paz Eshel, VP at Battery Ventures and I over coffee for a glimpse at how the “other” side thinks.

If you or anyone you know are interested in joining us, please fill in the application form on our flyer.

Feel free to join my email list to receive my latest & greatest (but infrequent) VCPOV posts directly in your mailbox
