Announcing Top 10 Entries Of VeChain Community Video Contest 2020 and Final Ranking VeVote
With the spirit of VeChainThor Mainnet 2nd Year Anniversary celebration, the Foundation announced the VeChain Community Video Contest 2020 held on 7 June 2020. This is the first event of our Anniversary celebration series.
We hosted the contest to allow our talented community to express the uniqueness of VeChain and its ecosystem through passion, creativity, and skill. The contest was well received and we truly had amazing submissions.
All of the 84 works submitted can be found on our official playlist VeChain Community Video Contest Submissions. We loved each and every one of you that poured in the time and effort required to make these amazing videos.
Top 10 Decided — It’s time for VeVote!
We are very excited to have narrowed down the 84 videos to the Top 10, and as promised, the final rankings and rewards will be entirely chosen by our community stakeholders through a VeVote all-stakeholders voting!
It is now time to #VeVote for your favourite videos! Every single vote from you will count towards the final placing of the top 10 videos which will determine the prizes awarded by the VeChain Foundation to the video creators.

Voting Details and Rules
The vote is open to all VeVote stakeholders, meaning, all Authority Masternodes, Economic X Nodes, and Economic Nodes will be able to vote for their video of choice!
Each voter will get to choose 3 of their favourite videos.
The final ranking will be determined by the number of votes as weighted according to the VeChain Governance Charter.
Please note that since this is not a Governance-related vote, there will be no minimum participation ratio for each node category.

- This community vote opens to all stakeholders who are eligible to vote on the VeVote platform.
- The ballots are open from July 5, 23:59pm UTC+8 to July 12, 23:59pm UTC+8.
- You must choose and vote for 3 of your favourite videos.
- Only the first ballot is valid. Please make your choice wisely.
- Final winners list will be announced via the @vechainofficial Twitter account.

Platinum Prize (1 winner): 1,000,000 VET
Gold Prize (2 winners): 500,000 VET each
Silver Prize (3 winners): 200,000 VET each
Honorable Mention (4 winners): 100,000 VET each

VeVote is an online voting solution which provides an immutable, transparent and decentralized platform for voting. The voting is done via VeVote smart contracts and the results are recorded on the VeChainThor blockchain.
How to vote for the videos?
- Be a VeChain Economic X Node or Economic Node holder.
- Visit VeVote Platform site https://vevote.vechain.org/home on VeChainThor Mobile Wallet or VeChain SYNC desktop client.
- Access the VeChain Video Contest 2020 Voting Page.
- Choose 3 videos that you like the most and vote.
- Important: Ensure that you have authorized the dApp and that you have the required VTHO for the transaction to go through.
