June 2018: Feeling Proud

• We are very proud to be sponsoring the Craft CMS developer conference Dot All in Berlin this September! Not only are we platinum sponsors, but our President of Technology Matt Weinberg will be there speaking about “Scaling Craft Sites for Large Launches”. Have you bought your tickets yet? We’d love to see you there!
• We have spent the last few months helping our clients get prepared for the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements. GDPR is designed to protect consumers across the European Union (EU), and it is a big challenge for companies to put new compliant systems in place. Are you GDPR ready? We can help!
• We held another fun “10 Things” presentation and celebration, wherein a few different employees presented 10 things about themselves. This round was Sarah Carr and Alex Glover.

• We learned that Sarah is a tea fanatic who has tried tea from around the world and Alex starred in an episode of Homeland (remember the person sitting in the background during Season 7, Episode 1? That was Alex!).
• We went hiking! Maggie organized a hiking trip to Mount Taurus (aka Bull Hill) just outside of the town of Cold Spring, NY. While the hike was more difficult than we thought it would be (for everyone except the people who took to climbing the face of the mountain!), we had a great time climbing and spending time with each other. In the end, we ultimately did it for the post-hike ice cream at Moo Moo’s Creamery. Yum! Thanks for organizing, Maggie!

• We welcomed two new people to the team!

• Meet Developer Doug Black — he lives in Philadelphia and does a lot of work with the homeless and opiate-addicted communities there. He was also contestant on American Ninja Warrior season 8!
• Meet Senior Designer Jaime Patino-Calvo — he was born in Colombia and loves playing and watching soccer. He also loves hiking and salsa dancing!
