On a computer, you can easily drag duplicate paths by pressing the alt key on the keyboard. On a touchscreen device this can be rather annoying. Having to constantly copy and paste paths slows down workflows.

To tackle this problem we came up with a brilliant solution we call the “Alt Switch”. By activating the “Alt Switch” which you can see in the top left corner the duplicate mode is activated. Of course you can also trigger this mode by using an external hardware keyboard.

Whenever the duplicate mode is activated every path you drag or rotate will create a copy with the transform applied. The original path will be left untouched. Depending on what you’re working on this can be a huge timesaver.
