Vectornator 1.2: Project Titan
With iOS 11, Apple revolutionizes the way you will interact with your iPad (and your iPhone). The iPad will become more powerful than ever before by adopting desktop-class features such as drag and drop, having basic file system access using the brand new Files app and will eventually replace your desktop computer once and for all.
We believe in this vision and have always wanted to provide a desktop-level experience with Vectornator. This update marks the beginning of a long and exciting journey — we hope you’re just as excited as we are!
We obviously improved Vectornator’s performance, tweaked several things and fixed a couple of bugs but that’s the boring stuff you’re most likely not interested in. So, let’s talk about features because everybody loves new features. Oh, boy! There’s a lot of them — indeed we only listed a couple here.
- Drag and Drop — this one is HUGEEEE!
- Blurring elements
- Enter element positions, size and angle numerically
- Expand layers and see the elements inside
- New pressure sensitive brush tool
- HEX values are displayed in the color picker
- New ‘real’ full screen mode
- Completely new scaling system
- Elements outside the document bounds are now visible
- Apple Pencil only drawing mode (touch inputs will be ignored if active)
- Lock and hide individual elements
- Dedicated move and node selection tool
So, long story short: it’s what Vectornator should have been at its launch. We’ve learned many things since then and will keep learning. Version 1.2 is a big step into the right direction and we won’t stop here.
Most importantly for you: Vectornator 1.2 will be available as a free update for our existing customers. New customers can acquire Vectornator for only $7.99 on the App Store (which is a bargain for its level of complexity by the way 😜).
If you like Vectornator, consider rating us on the App Store. Every rating helps a ton!
