Sooner or later each of us may find themselves in the situation when one needs to buy a piece of clothes which can’t be purchased even in the most original shop. For instance, lots of people visit various theme parties which usually require a specific style and these individuals experience quite a lot of difficulties trying to find something apart from flowers or Big Ben prints on the t-stirts from the mass market 😰

However, you may easily forget about such problems if you have Vectr installed! Here you can not only create your own unique design but also export it to SVG which means that the resolution of the image will be extremely high. And be sure, every printing company will ask you to provide them with the SVG file 😉

But before we start creating our t-shirt design, we would like to give you some tips on what has to be done before.

1) Form the idea. When you start designing, you need to have a precise image of what you want to do. Undoubtedly, this idea may be completely changed during your work but at least you must have a basis.

2) Prepare the proportions. The center of the t-shirt is what usually attracts attention but of course, there are many other options for placing the image. So if you want people to get the message of your design, think about the most advantageous position of your creation.

3) Sketch the idea. Even if you are not good at drawing, try to make your idea more material by sketching it on the paper. Don’t go into detail, just draw some big, general forms which later can be improved by different small changes.

We are ready to create our own design! We would be really glad if you join us 😉

Step 1

Since a print for the tutorial will be a fancy camera, your first step in creating it will be forming its basis. The best shape is the rounded rectangle that you can find in the left toolbar. As soon as you get it, use [the workspace tools](https://vectr.com/user-guide/workspace/workspace-tools/) in order to merge two layers.

Step 2

In the second step, the rounded rectangle will be for great need as well. It should be used for other objects of the camera. But more likely you are wondering: “How do I color an object with the color I need?”, because we didn’t speak about it in the step 1. In order to make an object cool and colored use the background settings in the right toolbar. Don’t forget that you can always copy/paste a color-code to make two objects look the same.

Step 3

At this stage you have to deal with the pen tool to make black interior lines of the camera, work further with your old buddy “rounded rectangle” and meet his sharper blood brother “rectangle”. It will make buttons on the top of the weird-colored camera.

Step 4

The “rectangle brothers” served us well today, but they are useless in creating the last part of the camera — a lens. But don’t worry, the right shape is their neighbour from the left toolbar “the ellipse”. Use it to create the lens and nice light reflections.

Step 5

Finally, the job is done and you can save the image on your PC by pressing the export buttonhttps://vectr.com/user-guide/toolbar/exporting/ from the right top corner of the workspace.

If you are a photographer, traveler or just fond of photos this design is for you!

I think now you understand that the creation of your own t-shirt image requires much fantasy and concentration 😳 But we do hope that this tutorial is inspiring enough for you not to stop and continue designing!
