How to Create a Meme in Vectr
Almost every Internet user has seen at least one meme. Millions of people enjoy watching them every day. Memes are on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and many entertaining websites that are dedicated only to those amusing images. So now we can surely admit that memes are an inseparable part of the Internet.
There are millions of memes already created and their number is growing extremely fast. People are making them because of various reasons, for example to highlight something important that is happening or already happened in the world or just to make fun of something. This tutorial is devoted to such a funny and extremely important part of the Internet, so you can create your own meme really easily and quickly. 😎
Step 1
Firstly, you have to pick up a suitable template for your topic. Special sites will show you meme base images that have been popular for a long time, as well as current trending ones. You may find thousands of them on a website like: http://knowyourmeme.com
The image you choose is supposed to be witty, clever, or just funny in order to help getting your meme viral. But don’t forget, there’s no need to create a meme using only ready-made templates. A playful photo of your friends could be a good background as well.
Step 2
Once you have found the perfect picture and invented any smart saying — it is high time to design your masterpiece with the help of Vectr. You have to upload your “basis” to Vectr for editing. You can open up your file by drag-dropping it into Vectr, or use the Upload Image button in the left toolbar.
Step 3
Once it’s done, you are welcome to add a piece of cool text, which is an integral part of creating memes. You see, memes are pretty universal social phenomena. It means you have to choose a color and a font of the text wisely, so they are similar to other memes. Here in Vectr we used white color and Open Sans font for the doge. 🐕 In addition, a little bit of shadowing looks great! Step 4
Now the meme is done and you can entertain your friends and conquer the Internet with the power of your humor! You can save your meme to your PC by using the export button. We would recommed you to save the image in PNG because this file type is the best one for sharing with others and spreading in the Internet.
