On May 31st, Fehmarnbelt days took place on Veertly, with both online and offline attendees. The conference was live streamed from Weissenhäuser Strand in Ostholstein, Schleswig-Holstein. The aim of the conference was to discuss the possible development, growth, and cross-border collaboration in the Fehmarnbelt region.

Many professionals from business, administration, science, politics, and NGOs, from both Germany and Scandinavia, were invited to present their views and opinions on the priorities of the development within the region. Important politicians such as EU Transport Commissioner Adina Vălean, Denmark’s Transport Minister Benny Engelbrecht, and Federal Transport Minister Andreas Scheuer all highlighted the advantages of the fixed Fehmarnbelt link.

Veertly was glad to offer a digital space to foster discussions and connections. A total of 745 participants in all sessions took part in the 5th Fehmarnbelt days. Break-out rooms were created for smaller sessions and discussions and the live stream was held on the main stage. The attendees had a chance to discover and learn more about the culture, financial, and business aspects of the region through embedded videos and quizzes. There was also a chance to network through Wonder, which was embedded into Veertly.

We would like to extend our thanks to the Fehmarnbelt organizers for choosing Veertly to host such an important conference.
