Never have I seen vegetables look and taste as good as they did dining at Opa in Tel Aviv. And I’ve been vegan for 7 years and vegetarian for 23!

Since becoming vegan, I’ve been obsessed with finding ways to make food special and exciting, and with creating the widest possible variety of vegan foods, but who knew? Opa proves every single day that you can serve a single vegetable or fruit, paired with the most incredible sauce to create a work of art and a taste that lingers pleasantly.

This restaurant really puts vegetables and fruits on a pedestal, offering a place where the clean eating philosophy really hits a high note.

At Opa, vegan food wins without feeling a need to imitate anything else out there and where new culinary trends are likely to take root, creating the perfect launching spot for brand-new vegan dishes invented here to take off and really go mainstream.

Yael Tamar interviews Sharona Berger, one of the owners at Opa

Owned and managed by twin sisters, Sharona and Shirel Berger, a Culinary Institute of America alumna, this 100 percent vegan hot spot, which just opened in October 2018, is tough to get into, so reserve your table in advance. And for an utterly thrilling culinary journey, try the chef’s tasting menu.
