June Meetup Recap (06/27, Desert Wind)

Thanks everyone for joining us on June 27!

Thanks to our hosts Desert Wind Coffee Roasters and Alex for helping us look after the community.

It was nice to see our group increase in size with many new faces along side folks from our first meetup.

Thanks to Londell Triche from Keolis for a great discussion about the AAA Self-Driving Shuttle.

Some interesting points were made

1. To set up a 2 mile track in LA would have taken 103 approvals, in Las Vegas 1
2. A human driver is always ready to take over
3. The vehicle is controlled with an xbox controller
4. Adults tend to try and grab the xbox controller.
5. People test the autonomy of the shuttle by putting their body or objects out in front of the shuttle.
