What is MACTAC? The full documentation for the MACTAC protocol is not readily available to the public at the time of this writing. However, some information can be gleaned by reviewing MACTAC quiz flashcards available online using a Google search. Some examples:
The last flashcard, MACTAC assault, is of particular interest in the case of Officer Trainer Cordell Hendrex, trainee Officer Elif Varsin and 3 Mandalay Bay Security Officers. This group included the first LVMPD officers to arrive on scene. Initially, it appears that they are in the process of executing a MACTAC Assault. But after hearing gunfire, Officer Hendrex calls a retreat. While retreated, the group stands and waits while the gunfire continues. The team then moves to the stairwell leading up to the 32nd floor. The last 2 recorded shots are heard and then the group continues to wait until another team arrives to join them.
