It is kind of hard to find good vegetarian food in Puerto Rico. I ate vegetarian food for 2 meals while I was there and it was best and one of a kind. Super yummy food and must go places when travelling there.

Purple Cloud (L) House Vegetarian Fried Rice (R)

An absolutely wonderful restaurant in the heart of Old San Juan — Verde Mesa. This fried rice is their signature dish and is a total delight. It has over 12 ingredients, oh yes, you can taste them all. It comes with pickled chic peas and parsley dressing. This place offers wide range of desserts and my favorite is Purple Cloud. This is a simple mixture of whipped cream, berries and chunks of meringue, topped with rosemary, which just melts in your mouth. This place also offers great range of fruit juices which can be ordered as cocktails.

Hot cappuccino (L) French Toast (R)

Cafe del Loto — good for breakfast and brunch. Great variety of coffee and milk shakes. Super yumm french toast made with their home baked bread.
