While the week started out pretty normally, with our Tuesday harvest and some productive field work with our interns, the heat wave has definitely changed our plans for today and tomorrow. There is an excessive heat advisory, with temperatures forecasted to reach up to 109 in San Jose today, and almost as high tomorrow. For the safety of our staff, interns, and community members, we have postponed ALL First Saturday programming to next week. Yoga, Farm Stand, Youth Garden, farm workday, Neighborhood Harvest, Cocina, live music and flamenco, and Art in the Garden will all take place at their normal times next Saturday, September 9th. Farm crew will also be staying far away from field work today, instead focusing on some office work in the comfort of air conditioning.

Hope everyone stays cool and safe over this Labor Day weekend, and catch you next week!
