Who needs the 4th when you’ve got the 1st (Saturday, that is)!

These 80-degree days have been a welcome relief from the scorching hot temperatures of last week, and the farm crew has been hustling to keep up with our mildly overwhelming to-do list. Our interns stuck it out through hours of laying drip tape this week as we hurry to prep beds for our second succession of tomatoes and peppers, which we’ll be planting next Saturday. And we did plenty of weeding (as usual) to keep our summer production fields looking neat and tidy and to prepare for tomorrow’s garlic harvest!

The first of the New Girl tomatoes ripening in the field.

We’re looking forward to tomorrow’s First Saturday lineup, which will include lots of opportunities to connect, eat good food, and appreciate the beautiful weather. We hope you’ll come out and join us!
