Similar to the last week’s update, this one is going to be short and sweet, as the Veil team has been busy working on some longer-term projects. Still, we’d like to highlight a couple popular markets that just got resolved and are ready for instant settlement.

🎥 Will the movie Avengers Endgame gross over $275m on its opening weekend in the US? Created by u. “Avengers: Endgame” was out in US movie theaters on April 26th. The initial box office estimates suggested that the movie could make $255M to $265M in its opening weekend. But “Avengers: Endgame” snapped those estimates away by bringing in a whopping $357M! The market resolved to a resounding Yes. While the movie globally made $1.2B in its opening weekend, a follow-up market on whether it will eventually beat Avatar’s $2.79B global box office could be interesting.
🇺🇸 Will U.S. Presidential Candidate Pete Buttigieg Have One Million or More Twitter Followers on May 1, 2019? Created by TheAugurEdge. This one was a nail-biter, as Pete Buttigieg ended up being 8K followers short of the million required for the market, resolving the market to No. The growth of Pete Buttigieg’s popularity on Twitter (especially following his candidacy announcement) attracted 88 ETH of volume to this market, with huge price swings in the last couple of days. 🌌 What will be the market capitalization of Cosmos Atoms (ATOM) in USD on April 30, 2019? This market had the risk of resolving to invalid as CoinMarketCap (CMC) did not include market capitalization of Cosmos Atoms (ATOM) until right before the market expired. Fortunately, CMC was able to get the circulating supply of ATOMs just in time, resolving the market to $750,753,657 (rounded down to $750,750,000 per resolution rules).
