We’re getting very close to being able to show you all what we’ve been working on for the last few weeks. Keep an eye out for an announcement from us early next week. In the meantime, we’re going to highlight some of the popular markets on Veil right now.

Barcelona cut off early

You can now redeem your positions in the Will FC Barcelona win the Champions League 2019? market thanks to Veil’s Instant Settlement feature. Barcelona crashed out of the Champions League today after giving up a 3–0 lead on aggregate. The market, created by ditucripto, saw Barcelona’s chances trade as high as 90% before plummeting to 0%. 😬

Pokemon hit or miss?

After last week’s record-breaking performance from Avengers: Endgame (see market here), we have another box office market. This one is Will Pokemon Detective Pikachu’s domestic gross in its opening weekend be over $80 million? BoxOffice Pro projects the film to gross over $75M in the opening weekend. What’s your pick?

Yang Gang momentum

A few weeks back we showed off one of the first market-specific apps, #YangGang. The app is built on top of Veil’s API and lets users earn small market positions for tweeting their predictions. The app’s market has continued to get volume: How many Twitter followers will Andrew Yang have by June 29th, 2019? Go earn shares through #YangGang and see how much you can sell them for through Veil.

Ambo using Veil’s API to serve prediction markets to their users

Ambo, a mobile-first crypto wallet acquired by MyCrypto, recently showed off an integration with Veil. Want to build an app that uses prediction markets or Augur? Check out our API docs or VeilJS. Our team is also often available in the #dev channel in Discord if you have questions or ideas.

Best performers from last week

Congratulations to these users on the best returns last week: jilm (+65.85%), realDonaldTrump (+61.02%), veildorado (+53.85%), free (+53.85%), and vongohren (+42.58%)! See the full leaderboard here.
