Velas Monthly Ecosystem Report #007
Greetings Velonians,
With 2020 more than halfway done, we can honestly say that we are proud of all the things we accomplished as well as staying on track with our roadmap. We want to thank every supporter of the Velas community for sticking with us during these new and unusual times the world is facing. We have so much to cover for the month of August so let’s get right into it.
Velas is currently going through lots of changes to really solidify the functionality and security of the Velas blockchain. We have so much in store for the next several months, we can’t wait to show you guys. We will continue to work on all the processes as we move forward to the new year. As you know we always come out with tech updates every month, and this month is no different. So with that being said, here are some of the new developments and updated features.
We have begun testing a new design for our wallet but before we can launch it here are some of the new updates.
- Improvements to the aesthetics
- Improvements to the functionality
- Security improvements on seed phrase verification
- Custom fees for slower or faster transactions
Blockchain
This past month has been a huge focus on our wallets and an upcoming hardware wallet, so stay tuned for that. So with that, we have been preparing our blockchain for what’s to come.

Asia update

Aside from Korea, our Indonesian community https://t.me/VelasIndonesiaOfficial showed strong growth due in large part to great coverage of Velas in the local market over the past 6–8 weeks.

This month keep a lookout for our CTO Roman who will be taking part in several AMA sessions throughout Asia as well as in our Spanish community. Satoshiclub AMA
To switch things up instead of having our founder Alex Alexandrov participate in an AMA we put key members of the Velas team to work to answer questions in The Satoshi club telegram community.

Winplay
We recently launched a campaign with winplay.app, a large community of crypto advocates that engage in fun games and complex tasks in order to win VLX. We are happy to say we had over 3k new community members join our various social platforms as a result of this campaign.
COBAK
Our Korean Community Manager, Six Dong, has been hard at work running a special campaign on a highly used Korean site, Cobak. This is platform is a very popular crypto community forum eager to learn about everything in the blockchain space. Another month passed and another great exchange on the books. This year has brought a lieu of excellent exchanges with this past month being no different. As the year gets close to an end, we can proudly say that we are now listed on a wide variety of top tier exchanges.
