We would like to welcome our new partner, Carry Protocol, a platform powering the next generation of offline retail by giving back customers full control of their data and its monetization. Carry uses an incentive mechanism to drive consumers to Carry merchant stores and has the mission of using personal consumer data in an equitable and fair manner that empowers consumers while also providing benefits to marketers and merchants.
Carry protocol is operated by the co-founders of Spoqa, the operator of Dodo Point, which is South Korea’s largest brick-and-mortar loyalty points system. The team has seven years of experience growing a business from zero to 20 million users, with rewards enabled for over 1.6 billion US dollars in transactions annually. Spoqa has $10 million in funding and has expanded from Korea into Japan.
Carry’s plan to launch universal loyalty points globally aligns with Velo’s mission to enable a borderless asset transfer for businesses. The Velo Protocol can mint custom value digital credits that can be used as loyalty points for any type of merchant. Thus, this partnership with Velo helps Carry to open up new markets outside Korea.
As Velo testnet is scheduled to launch Q4 this year, more partnerships are on the way, so stay tuned!
