It’s November and the festive season is just around the corner! 🎄

This month, we’ve been working on improving DRSv1 stability and security. Additionally, we completed all features for `gvel`, our command-line tool, and also finished Velo faucet, a simple web application for you guys to get Velo Token on Stellar Testnet.

We also attended Meridian, the first-ever Stellar Conference, in Mexico City and met with other amazing projects that are building on top of Stellar. On the way back from Mexico, we stopped by Korea to meet our partner, Carry Protocol. During the 3rd week, we went to Paris to attend the Fortune Global Summit, meeting with world business leaders.

DRSv1 is now open-source

We have had the opportunity to witness the success of open-source projects like Stellar, Ethereum, Bitcoin, and others. We have always been surprised and amazed by how each community contributes and improves their projects. In the same spirit, we have published open-source DRSv1. This step is part of our ongoing effort to maintain and improve the transparency of Velo, and of course, an opportunity to improve and grow our ecosystem. Now jump to our Github to check out the DRSv1.

Additionally, we also finished developer documents for the community, developers, and trusted partners to start playing around with DRSv1. The developer documents can be accessed here.

Faucet is coming to town

Velo Protocol required a digital asset, namely Velo token, to be collateral of a price-stable credit. Hence, one needs to hold Velo token in the pocket first. So we developed Velo Faucet, a simple web application to get Velo token on Stellar testnet. With Faucet + DRSv1, our community will be able to play around with the upcoming testnet.

Velo vs The World

Our CTO, Adirut, and Development Lead, Jura, attended the first-ever Stellar Conference, Meridian in Mexico City. At the event, they met with wonderful projects and discussed potential partnerships with several leading companies in the blockchain-space, ranging from custodian to token sales platforms.

On the way back, our CTO stopped by Korea to join forces with Tom, our CPO, and Beam, our Vice Chairman. Together, the Velo team held a meeting with Carry Protocol, our partner, to update them on our project status and discuss integration.

During the 3rd week, Beam, Tom, and our chairman, Chat, went to Fortune Global Summit to meet with world business leaders and enjoying themselves a nice slice of pizza!

Upcoming events

Beam, our Vice Chairman of Velo will be speaking on the panel of Blockchain Thailand Genesis 2019 on 30 November 2019 between 11:00 am to 11:45 am. We hope to see all of you there!
